Toolpal is a tool tracking app that enables companies to track all their tools, items or equipment in an easy and cost effective way.

Which tools can I track with ToolPal?

You can track any tools, equipment or assets. You just scan the tag on your tool with the ToolPal app to start tracking it. It’s as simple as that.

How long can I use the tag?

You can use your tag as long as you use the ToolPal app. The QR code, barcode, or ID tag can last for ever because you can print it again anytime. If you use NFC tags, they can last almost for ever. Because NFC tags are passive, meaning they don’t have any power source. Instead, they literally draw power from the device that reads them, thanks to magnetic inductionu003cstrongu003e.u003c/strongu003e But if your NFC tag is damaged you can simply replace it and associate it to the tool by scanning it with the mobile app.

What are the recommended dimensions of asset label? What could be the maximum and minimum size?

The label size and material will be determined by the size, type and use of your tool. Smaller tools may need compact labels where as a power drill used in construction may need larger, robust and weather resistant label. For QR code label the minimum size is 1×1 inch, there is no theoretical maximum size. You can get smaller tag than 1 inch wide by using NFC tag.

I am a developer/consultant; can I buy ToolPal for my customer?

You are welcome to resell our service and are free to add customizations or additional services using our API. We can supply you with the reseller program that includes the possibility to use ToolPal on white labeling basis.

SUBSCRIPTION AND BILLING

How much does the ToolPal app cost?

You can u003ca href=u0022https://app.toolpal.com/users/sign_upu0022u003ecreate a ToolPal account u003c/au003eand use the ToolPal app (iOS u0026amp; Android) for free. You are welcome to use the freemium version of ToolPal for private and non-commercial use. The free version has a limit on how any tools you can track. Details can be found in our u003ca href=u0022https://www.toolpal.com/#plansu0022u003epriu003c/au003eu003ca href=u0022#plansu0022u003ecu003c/au003eu003ca href=u0022https://www.toolpal.com/#plansu0022u003eingu003c/au003e section.

Can I change my plan later?

Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan upon your needs. From the free plan to any paid plan.

Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Yes. Cancellations can happen anytime, there are no hidden fees or fines. If you have subscribe to one of our plan, you can cancel your subscription from your account at any time.

What happens if I exceed the allowed number of assets of my plan?

If you exceed the maximum number of tools and items allowed for your subscription the system will notify you. You then can upgrade your plan (feel free to email us if you need more time to upgrade your account).u003cbru003eu003cbru003eIf you still exceed your limit the system will no longer accept to create new assets until the situation is rectified. All other functionality remains unchanged. So you, and your users, can still update the tools and items status that have already been entered.

My subscription payment failed, what should I do?

Payments fail sometimes without a clear reason but this no cause for concern, they will automatically be retried in a few days. If you pay using PayPal and you’ve recently changed payment methods then you may want to check the “source of funding” setting for the subscription inside your PayPal account. You can find this section via your Dashboard under u003cemu003eAccount Infou003c/emu003e section, under “Preapproved payments”.

My subscription got cancelled, will my data be deleted?

Unless you ask us to, ToolPal will under no circumstance remove your data, not even if your subscription is cancelled. If your subscription was cancelled, either accidentally or on purpose, you can simply re-subscribe on the u003cemu003eSubscription Statusu003c/emu003e page. If you are over quota with the number of tools you’re allowed to track you can simply upgrade your subscription.

Can you send me an invoice?

ToolPal subscriptions can only be paid via PayPal or credit card. After payment is received an invoice for accounting purposes can be found inside your account on the Subscription Status page.
